No, we are a property consultancy. We don’t have any exclusive agreements with any developer either. This means we are able to offer our services and access to a wide range of projects without charging our clients any fees.
How much will cake charge me for a consultation?
Nothing!
How does cake keep the lights on?
We receive a payment from the developer when people choose to purchase property through cake.
Am I obligated to purchase a property suggested by my cake consultant?
No.
What is the process for purchasing a property through cake?
- Check your funds (speak to a bank/broker about your loan affordability)
- Reserve the property (refundable deposit of $5,000) or chat to a cake consultant to reserve a property
- Exchange contracts (your lawyer/conveyancer will handle this part typically within 10 days)
- Settlement (typically within 60 days for completed properties or in the future (on the completion date) for off-the-plan properties)
- Repeat Steps 1-4 if desired

Yes, you can take the property “off the market” after choosing your preferred floor plan and placing a refundable deposit of $5,000 via the oven.
Is my $5,000 holding deposit refundable?
We know some things don’t always go as planned. Simply contact us to request a refund and your deposit should be returned to you within 10 business days.
How do I become a friend of cake?
Previous buyers automatically become friends of cake and enjoy lifelong perks, it’s that easy!
Where is your office?
We are a young company and operate almost entirely online. However, we also have residency at Sydney Olympic Park because we know it’s nice to meet IRL sometimes.
