Please read the following Terms and Conditions before placing your order with CakeInc.
Deposits and Payment
A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking. Orders will not be started until such time as a deposit has been paid. Deposits are strictly non refundable. The balance of payment is due 2 weeks prior to pickup or delivery of your order. Unless full payment has been received orders will not be available for pickup or delivery. We do not accept payment by cheque or money orders
Upon receipt of your order you will be emailed a copy of your invoice. Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery/collection dates and times and any requested changes have been properly documented on your invoice. Please notify our staff immediately of any errors on your invoice. Failing to notify us of any errors may result in additional charges where alterations are necessary after your order has been completed
Order Changes and Cancellations
Any changes made to your order within 14 days of collection or delivery will incur a surcharge, depending on the change requested. In most cases we can accommodate changes, however at times it is not possible. We will however endeavour to accommodate you to the best of our ability.
If you cancel your order your deposit will not be refunded. At the discretion of management and dependent on the circumstances, a credit note may be issued less an admin fee equal to 20% of the total cost of the order. If you cancel your order within 14 days of the delivery or collection date there will be no credit issued and any balances outstanding will be due and payable. Please note that any credit notes issued are done so as a good will gesture and at the discretion of management
Supply of own Decorations
You are free to supply your own toppers, ribbons, flowers or other decorations for cakes, however they must be suitable for you cake. Please contact us to confirm suitability
You are welcome to supply your own fresh flowers on the following conditions:
They are pre wired and taped
Should we deem the flowers to be not suitable or safe for the cake, we reserve the right to NOT place them on the cake
Delivery times and location of flowers is to be agreed upon no less than 5 days before delivery
You, the client, are responsible for ordering the correct amount/size of flowers through your florist
If Damaged, bruised or poor quality blooms are supplied, we reserve the right to not use them on your cake
Fondant covered cakes must not be refrigerated (including fondant figurines). Refrigeration can cause the icing to run as a result of condensation. Cakes should be stored in a cool, dry, dark place out of sunlight and heat.
Buttercream cakes need to be stored in the fridge until 1 hour before serving. They must not be left in a warm room or direct sunlight
CakeInc. cannot be held responsible for any damage to the cake once it has been delivered and is in the care of the Client and/or venue. Where cakes are picked up by clients, CakeInc. are not responsible for damage caused once the order has left our kitchen
Disclosure of Information
CakeInc. will not disclose any personal information to any person outside of the company, unless required by law to disclose such information. Under no circumstances will CakeInc. sell or receive payments or services for disclosing customer’s personal information to any external party
